The second stop of our cruise was in Juneau, where we were scheduled to go an a "Whales, Bears & Glaciers" excursion. Unfortunately, while the weather was better than the previous day, there was a low cloud ceiling with poor visibility, resulting in the flying porting of the excursion being canceled.
On the bright side, we hit the jackpot during a whale watching cruise, getting treated to lots of Humpback Whale sighting within a couple hundred yards. We were also privileged to see two different pods of whales engaged in
bubble feeding.
