When I saw this, I thought it might be some hanky-panky, but if I identified them correctly, condors 317 and 418 are both female, so they must just be playing king-of-the-mountain. Update 5/2/2010: It turns out that condor 418 is really condor 318, a male from Big Sur. As described in
this article, "A romance between condors 317 and 318 has produced, for the first time in more than a century, a baby California condor in Pinnacles National Monument", so perhaps my first instinct was correct.
